SUMMARY:Clinical Skills Wet Lab: Down With The Distal Limb
DESCRIPTION:WET LAB OVERVIEW\nComprehensive overview of the distal limb: emphasis on podiatry focused imaging\, joint injections\, & forelimb ultrasounds. \n  \nEvent Outline\n\nStudents broken up into groups of 10\n3 rotations\, 50 min at each station\nLunch provided\n\nRotation A:\nRadiograph case discussion: critical evaluation of farrier films\, chronic laminititis\,\ncoffin bone/splint bone fractures\, sesamoid fractures etc. Set up will be in\nconference room with a TV screen. \nRotation B:\nCadaver limbs: Students will practice joint injection techniques. If enough limbs are\navailable they can inject methylene blue dye & dissect the limb. Set up will be in the\nbarn on fold out tables. \nRotation C:\nDistal limb U/S: Set up will be in treatment.
