WET LAB OVERVIEW:
- 9:00am to 11:00am: Lecture Series
- 11:00am to 12:00pm: Lunch
- 12:00pm to 3:00pm: Teeth Floating
Lecture Series
Part 1: Presentation and discussion about starting as a solo practitioner, covering options, needs, and potential pathways.
Part 2: Basics of dentistry, including anatomy, aging, necessary equipment, exam techniques, equilibration, and diagnostic radiographs.
Wet Lab
11 horses, of various ages, will participate in dental floats. Each horse requires 30-45 minutes for examination and floating, supervised by doctors rotating among 4 stations.
Each student will have an opportunity to perform floating on one half of a horse (mandible and maxilla).
Additionally, a demonstration station for radiographs of the head will be available, allowing each group to rotate through and practice.
